42nd AUSTRALIAN JAPANESE LANGUAGE SPEECH CONTEST

You are invited to the 42nd Australian National Final Japanese Language Speech Contest to hear first place contestants across all divisions from state/territory level speech contests held around Australia deliver their winning speeches.

The aim of the contest is to encourage learners who are studying Japanese as a Language other than English (LOTE) and who do not speak Japanese as their first language to practice using their language skill in a challenging context.

Prizes:
   All Divisions
1st Prize: Return air ticket to Japan courtesy of Japan Airlines and a Shinkansen Tour package courtesy of Central Japan Railway Company.
2nd Prize: Gel Kayano 17 runners and sports bag courtesy of ASICS.
3rd Prize: $150 voucher courtesy of Kinokuniya Bookstore of Australia.
   
  Special Prize
Prize pack of Japan Foundation original goods from The Japan Foundation, Sydney.
Non-prize winning participants will receive an ASICS t-shirt courtesy of ASICS and the book Art and Life in Rural Japan courtesy of the Editor Cyrus Rolbin.
All participants will receive a certificate and small gift bag from The Japan Foundation, Sydney in gratitude for their participation in the 42nd National Japanese Language Speech Contest.
Special Open Gallery: The Japan Foundation, Sydney gallery will be open on the contest day, showcasing the entries from the 2011 student contest Art Speaks Japanese Comes Alive!
